Association

Established in 2022

We are Ukrainians living in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan

We started our activities for supporting Ukraine in a frame of a movement “Stand with Ukraine – Fukuoka”  in a response to a war started by Russia.

To make our work more effective, we came up with an idea to create a volunteer organization in Fukuoka prefecture with 3 directions of activities: organization of culture and mass events, socio-economic (helping refugees), and promotion of education and science relations.

We are pleased to announce that the Ukrainian Association of Fukuoka Prefecture “UAFukuoka” was established on May 16, 2022.

“Stand with Ukraine – Fukuoka” became a project of “UAFukuoka” that continues activities for helping Ukraine by organizing rallies, charity bazaars, and other events.

The Embassy of Ukraine and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Dr. Sergiy Korsunsky congratulated the newly established Association UAFukuoka and wished success in its activities for many years ahead. From the greeting letter: “The Embassy will be happy and proud to cooperate with UAFukuoka to make the bonds of friendship between Ukrainian and Japanese people even stronger”.

We look forward to developing and strengthening our friendship with Japanese people and other communities in Japan.
