2023-03-04 Lecture about Ukraine (Chikushi Minami community center)

On Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the request of the citizens of Chikushino, a town near Fukuoka, Roman Selyanchyn, a member of UAFukuoka, gave a lecture at the Chikushi-Minami Community Center. The 90-minute lecture, entitled “What kind of country is Ukraine?”, focused on basic information about Ukraine, its brief history, culture, culinary traditions, and, to a large extent, the current Russian aggression against our country. The lecture was attended by about 30 citizens of the city (the maximum number allowed due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions).

From the feedback of the lecture organizer, Mr. Nagao:
Ukraine’s call for help reached the hearts of all participants as they were able to experience firsthand the history and culture, including the tragedy caused by the russian invasion and the continued struggle of the people of Ukraine. We hope for a quick end to the war and the strengthening of a free Ukraine.

We thank Mr. Nagao for the invitation. We are happy to provide similar lectures to other communities in Fukuoka prefecture. Please do not hesitate to contact us by email.
